Another, rare landrace variety from the Republic of Georgia. This is a hulled cultivar. I was fascinated with the fact that the leaves were broad, dark green and slightly fuzzy. In my experience, this fuzziness, can be helpful in deterring leaf chewing pests like rabbits or deer. Zhukovsky was almost the latest maturing of all the spring wheat varieties I trialed ( it came in just a week earlier than Einkorn). Considered to be a natural cross between T. monococcum and T. tiompheevii.
