Einkorn, Austrian Alpine

We received our original seed stock from John Sherck: "The seed for this rare einkorn strain was sent to me from a friend in Italy, 2017.  He sourced the seed directly from a farmer in the Austrian Alps. I planted this in the spring, not wanting to wait a full year and a half for seed. It did fine as a spring wheat but I suspect that it would produce even better fall seeded. The plants reached a height of 45″ tall and would need support in areas with heavy spring and early summer rains.
