I had a 98% germination rate! I planted 100 grains, one per hole and kept the moisture up in the very beginning. Mine were planted in full sun and regular watering with a sprinkler. Unfortunately, when I decided they’re ready for harvest(7/15/25), I went out the next morning (7/16/25) to find my wheat chopped at the base and seed heads completely gone. I was able to find a couple fallen heads and also harvested the 3 left standing that were missed by the critter(s) – these are the berries that I will be planting next year, per landrace protocol. Beyond this situation, the wheat did extremely well in the AZ heat and grew about 3 – 4ft high in my garden and reached full maturity. No insect problems or disease whatsoever.
