Cervena is a heritage landrace wheat from the Czech Republic. It is free threshing and facultative (spring or fall planting). High in anthocyanins which give the kernals a deep, purple color. Did very well as a winter wheat in Cornville, Arizona.
Growers Notes
John Sherck, Bristol, IN
This seed came from Petr Vorbil in the Czech Republic. He is a seed collector, cataloger and plant photographer. I have traded seed with him in the past and have been very pleased. He is open to seed trades with folks from other countries. You can find a current list of what he has available on his website. There is contact information available as well. http://pinuli.net/@is/index_e.htm
