Ethiopian Purple Wheat

Em Ha'Gutag or "Mother Wheat" in Hebrew. A delicious wheat domesticated in Isreal between 10,000 and 12,000 years ago. Still widely cultivated in the Ethiopian highlands despite the introduction of newer industrial wheats. Early maturing, shorter height and tillering capacity continues to help it to adapt there.
