The bearded heads, which bend over when mature, are very easy to thresh. Came to Canada from northern Russia in 1887.It was of poor milling quality, and the further distribution of the variety was not encouraged in Canada by 1893. It called Spring Turkey in CO, KS, MT, NE, and WY.
